2015 Goals and Objectives

  • Disseminate quarterly newsletter
  •  Better utilize website and social media
  • Increase volunteer engagement
  • Review, update and post Adopt-A-Street info on website               
  • Gather and publish information about status of local rivers and streams

                      Collaboration with  Engineering Department, Newnan Utilities and Coweta Water Authority

                     Host (2) Electronic Recycling and (2) Paper Shredding Events in support of America Recycles Day and Earth Day
                     Enviroscape: Complete 10 classes
                     Great American Cleanup: Increase number of volunteers and attendees 
                     Walk N Wag: collaboration with Humane Society
  • Continue Adopt-A-Street review program
  • Host Adopt-A-Street appreciation event
  • ​Engage neighboring jurisdictions through Keep Georgia Beautiful for potential joint programming and/or idea sharing
  • Continue Cigarette Litter Prevention Program
                    reposition one receptacle for greater use
  • Locate, publish and support local farmers markets on website
  • Monitor desk-side recycling program within City
  • Locate and install 4 remaining permanent recycling receptacles
  • Continue and enhance Recycled Christmas Tree
  • Increase city-wide residential recycling
  • Increase participation in Adopt-A-Park program
  • Partner with Coweta County for Bring One for the Chipper
  • Select and train new KNB Board Member(s) as needed
  • Obtain annual KAB certification
