Recycling for City of Newnan Residents
The City of Newnan offers curbside recycling and all residents are encouraged to take advantage of it. Call Waste Industries at 770-474-9273 to ask for a recycling bin. There is no cost for the bin and Waste Industries will let you know what day your recyclables will be picked up.
Separate recyclables from your household garbage. Waste Industries does not require that residents separate recyclables into various types. All accepted recyclables may be mixed together in one container. The following is a list of acceptable items:
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, glass will no longer be accepted in our recycling program. Waste Industries delivers your recyclables to several third party processing facilities in the area. The recent downturn in the value of materials, combined with complications in processing, have made it necessary for those processing facilities to demand the removal of all glass from the recycling stream. Please support us as we strive to sustain this important program. Listed below is an updated list of acceptable materials.
For those of you who wish to still recycle glass - you may take all of your glass to any one of the county recycling locations. For locations and hours of operation please visit the county's website: http://www.coweta.ga.us/Index.aspx?page=368
