Recycling for City of Newnan Residents
The City of Newnan offers curbside recycling and all residents are encouraged to take advantage of it. Call CLM/Waste Industries at 770-474-9273 to ask for a recycling bin. There is no cost for the bin and Waste Industries will let you know what day your recyclables will be picked up.
Separate recyclables from your household garbage. CLM/Waste Industries does not require that residents separate recyclables into various types. All accepted recylables may be mixed together in one container. The following is a list of acceptable items:
Acceptable Paper Items
Newspaper, Magazines, Catalogues, Junk Mail, Phone Books, Office Paper
Cardboard Boxes (All packing material such as styrofoam, bubble wrap, tape, etc. must be removed)
Shoe boxes, gift boxes and all boxes of this type
Food boxes (all interior food liners and food MUST be removed)
NO items with food contamination (i.e. pizza boxes) can be accepted.
NO Styrofoam Products, Paper Plates, Paper Towels, Paper Cups, Plastic Bags, or Plastic Laminated Paper.
NO Glass
NO Plastics #7
Other Items Accepted
Aluminum Beverage Cans/Steel or Tin Food Cans
#1 through #6 Plastics. Remove all lids, rinse out and empty container
Bottle Shaped Plastic Containers ONLY. (i.e. Soda and Water Bottles, Milk
Jugs, Laundry Detergent Jugs, Windex Bottles)
